I inherited more than a business from my father, Muthukrishnan, I inherited his values, discipline and way of serving people. From opening our first restaurant in Egmore to growing Namma Veedu Vasanta Bhavan to over 20 branches across Chennai, every step has been built on those foundations.

For nearly five decades, my purpose has been to protect what works while never being afraid to evolve. I have always loved being in the kitchen cooking, experimenting and discovering new possibilities with food.

Today, seeing Anand take that spirit forward through VB World gives our journey an exciting new direction. The ideas may evolve with every generation, but our roots will always remain the same.

Behind every great dining experience is a team of people who make it possible every single day. My journey with Namma Veedu Vasanta Bhavan has always been centred around our people, from administration and operations to creating an experience where both our guests and employees feel valued. I believe a business grows stronger when the people within it are given the opportunity to grow with it.

Women empowerment is especially close to my heart, and my vision is to see women represent at least 50% of our workforce. As VB World grows into new locations and new experiences, I want our culture of care to grow with it. Because the heart of our business will always be the people behind it.

Growing up around Namma Veedu Vasanta Bhavan gave me a deep respect for what generations before me had built. Travelling around the world and experiencing different cuisines made me wonder, what if we could bring those flavours and experiences together under one roof?

That thought became VB World, a new expression of our legacy built around global cuisine, creativity and contemporary dining. The same curiosity also led to Cones & Brew, our café concept created for a new generation of customers and experiences.

My vision is to take these home-grown brands beyond their origins and build a strong presence across India and eventually the world.
